INTRODUCTION
Back in 1989, the first enterprise of SOUSACAMP GROUP began labouring, at Benlhevai, Vila Flor, producing, trading and distributing mushrooms.
Initially, all started as a family enterprise. After that, this enterprise began to expand aiming the vertical integration and the diversification of the business, and soon several enterprises and new mushrooms production units were born.
Presently, the Group activity includes all the processes linked to the mushrooms production: substrate production, harvest and mushrooms preparation for the fresh market and the canned one; dispatch and logistics.
All this effort made Sousacamp Group the Portuguese market leader and put it at an important place inside the Spanish market. After that, the Group entered into the French, German and Dutch market.
Having into account this internationalisation strategy, the Group created its own transport fleet in order to grant the daily delivery of fresh products near the European markets, according to the timing and the needs of the clients.
The Group supplies, mainly, the supply markets of Lisboa, Madrid, Barcelona, and others, as well as retail markets, supermarkets and hypermarkets networks. The Group soon understood the need to fully correspond to the needs of these ones offering a large variety of mushrooms and other horticultural product.
Client fidelization, as well as the entrance into new markets, were only possible because we correspond to the needs of our clients in what concerns products variety and delivery timings. We also assure that the quality of our products are in compliance with the criteria established by clients and entities such as: Clube de Produtores Sonae, Linha Vida Auchan, NOP/USDA ORGANIC (The National Organic Program – United States Department of Agriculture) and GlobalGAP (Global Good Agriculture Practices), ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and others. Under the slogan "To You, for the Nature", SOUSACAMP GROUP and its collaborators commit themselves, daily, to place their exceptional quality products near the clients, granting them the consumption of food that contributes to a healthy diet and way of life.

The main purpose of SOUSACAMP, SA is to transform all the resources connected to production and trading of mushrooms, and other horticultural products, in wealth and sustainable development, with proper technology and superior quality, aiming the client satisfaction and contributing for the rise of the agricultural productivity, respecting the individual, the society and the environment.
